Participants: members of the Health Promotion College for Advanced Studies
In the academic year 2020-2021, the Health Promotion College for Advanced Studies had the following activities:
1. Health promotion course
The course was held by psychologist Réka Anna Lukács-Márton, PhD, assistant professor at the Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania. The guest lecturer has an experience of many years in designing and implementing health promotion events. Within the course, students acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills on community health promotion activities in the school setting.
2. Health promotion seminar
The event took place online, in a good mood, and was led by associate professor Renáta Jávorné dr. Erdei (University of Debrecen, Faculty of Health). Students were very interested in the content and showed a proactive engagements having addressed the invitee several questions and having prepared themselves thoroughly for the interactive group work. This activity aimed at preparing students for the community health promotion activity at schools.
3. Social responsibility project
Within the social responsibility project a community-based health promotion activity was launched in shools with pupils with a disadvantageous social background. Facilitators, members of the Health Promotion College for Advances Studies performed this activity based on a work plan, with methods suitable for the target group, following a grounded preparation and regular consultations with specialists. The project was truly popular and led to an improvement in the health behaviour of schoolchildren.
